Speaking volumes: A flower speaks a thousand words!

I love the warm and hazy summer days and watching the butterflies flutter by and this last week has been just perfect even though it is September! It is wonderful to feel the sun on your face and it certainly changes how you feel. Unfortunately you can't rely on the weather but something you can rely on are beautiful flowers that bring their own sunshine even on the most dreary day. This summer has seen more than it's fair share of grief for me this year and I certainly hope yours has been much happier. My love of flowers and the joy I get from arranging them has been particularly special for me. You can never underestimate the effects of flowers on both joyous and solemn and even unhappy occasions. They have a unequaled ability to speak the language of both. The wedding flowers I made this summer were admired and loved by all and were perfect for the love and happiness of that special day. Equally the loves last gift flowers spoke volumes and no words were necessary as the flowers said it all. I shared my flowers on a florist facebook page Val Spicer Designs and the wonderful comments like perfect floristy and beautiful floristry made me even more privileged and proud to have given my own personal loves last gift. I believe that all my work is personal even when it is not and all the flowers I give come from the heart and speak your words as loud as they can. Whether it is for a birth, a birthday, an anniversary, a get well, a sorry, a whatever, the flowers are saying something important from you to a special person in your life so if it is worth saying it is worth saying well and flowers do say it as only flowers can! Enjoy the weather whilst it lasts and Autumn's beautiful gifts when they come.
